About Me

Ladies, would you be interested in a man with a nice voice complimented by a subtle French accent? How about a man who isn't afraid to voice his opinion on just about any subject and make you smile while doing so? Does the idea of honest conversation and reciprocal interest seem like a good thing?
If so, too bad for you because I have none of the above. However, my teeth aren't especially crooked, my unibrow is barely noticeable and I haven't been convicted of a serious crime in 2010... so far.
Now, I know what you're thinking. “This guy sounds like a dream come true!”. Bingo. Being with me is like winning at the game of life every single day. But don't take my word for it. Actually, please do as it would take me a lot of effort to convince you that I'm a worthwhile prospect otherwise.
On a more serious note, as I can't seem to avoid those, I think I'm a good person and would be worth getting to know. I have a decent sense of humour and a no-nonsense attitude which may explain why my friends typically view me as a reliable and fun guy to have around. I value proper spelling above all when reading a message, followed by content. Or the other way around, depending.
My most serious hobby and passion is photography. I got more seriously involved in it during the summer of 2009 and have been hooked since. These days I mostly shoot portraits of local (and slightly out-of-town models) but you may spot me by the water one of these days taking pictures of birds or landscapes. An interest in photo or the visual arts would definitely be an asset for someone interested in me.
I also read quite a bit, concentrating mostly on non-fiction regarding subjects such as skepticism, science, logic, medicine and psychology. When I feel like being a bit more entertained, I can always find a fiction novel on my bookshelf that can get my attention. Favourite authors include Robert A. Heinlein, Isaac Asimov, Orson Scott Card, Stephen King, Dean Koontz and so on.

First Date
I'm not a fan of especially formal first dates, I prefer something low-key like getting together somewhere calm and conversation-friendly to see if we get along.
My personal preference is to just walk around downtown and talk or sit down for coffee or some other drink (I don't drink coffee). As long as the conversation is good and lively, I'm more than pleased.
I would also be open to going somewhere nice and doing photography if that's a common interest. Landscape, waterways, portrait, it would all work! So would cycling or any other fun outdoor activity.
