Great start to 2012 as the girl that works at the coffee shop I've been going to for about a year guess I was 28, that sure put a smile on my face :)
Old school down to earth dude here. I'm not into clubbing or showing off like a lot of the downtown folk. I work for myself, have a lot of free time and am looking for a calm, funny, sporty or adventurous girl that is very smart wants to travel and is very easy on the eyes. Emotional baggage must be left behind, we all have a little bit, but if you haven't fully dealt with it, well sorry that's something you should deal with first.
I love to play and goof around, and will pull off the odd practical joke or do things to make you laugh. I've also been known to hide around dark corners and say boo!
I like to play a lot, love to cook, love thai, mexican and sushi, cook all the time, and am always looking for the next favourite restaurant or wine to add to my list. I play volleyball on the beach, drink good wine on my patio in the summer, I have a lot of bbq's and friends over in the summer!
You don't have to be a jock to catch my eye, but I'd love to meet someone that can play volleyball or any sports, or at least sneak a six pack down to the beach and hang out with us this summer. I know a lot of people that would rather sit on patios drinking all day than being on the beach playing, there is a time and place for patios, but I'd rather bring a bottle of wine or ciders or beers to the beach. In the past I competed at a high level in two sports, one played in spring/summer the other fall/winter, I'll bet you can't guess the winter sport.
I exercise 4-5 times per week alternating between yoga, cardio, hikes and weights, and won't really click with someone that doesn't have balance in their life in health. Gym obsessives need not apply though, I workout to feel good and for my health more than what the mirror says.
I'm known to open doors, pull out chairs and hold coats for women, even ones that are just friends. If you like to "party" a lot we're probably not a good match. For me a party is having friends over and drinking too much wine, once or twice a month. I'm rarely hungover, the weekend is the time to get out and hike, snowshoe, ski, play volleyball etc...if getting hammered is fun to you more than once in a blue moon you won't like me, you'll find me boring ;)
By the way, I'm not on here to IM or message back and forth every 3-5 days and take a month or two to get a coffee. If I contacted you, it means like it would in real life, I saw you, you look interesting and I want to get to know you more. First Date
Meeting for a 10 minute coffee is the best first date plan. I'm sure there are some amazzzzing women in surrey, abbotsford, coquitlam etc...but I'd rather meet someone that isn't a 30-45 minute drive away.
