pdxJules is...an energetic, selective, confident, and happy person. Sorry, I've been spending quality time just 1 person for over a year...sorry if you sent a message - I have not seen it. Cheers!
I Host parties and get out often for music and craft Beer tasting; Live in the present. Lots of interests (You, too I hope...makes for a more interesting person, from whom I might learn something)
Brewer, competition Beer Judge. I Host Fireside Jams, backyard Concerts, and an annual Imperial Stout Tasting event. If you are a Coors person, adapt or die!! LOL
Love planning future fun, travel. Chronic strategist. enjoy reading health studies online. Semi-Retired, compost-wrangler, who might appreciate help to install my new Greenhouse panel, or to bottle some Ale or Mead. Like to sweat in the garden, harvest organic food all 4-seasons, but slowed in that this year since I was on crutches last summer and into winter. My foot recovered well I think, but I am still working on getting the rest of my body back. My hair is a lot longer now, and everyone says: keep it!
I sometimes Host Plant Swaps, share plants & seed. Maybe you have cool rocks for my new Beer Garden, or wanna help build a Garden path, raised-bed or Arbor?
I confess spending too much time online! New to gaming, and fast became one of the Gods of War in Castle Age. Might just quit someday to get my life back! I can. really. Made Top of Zillow in less than a year, then _retired_. Yelp Elite for 3 years, writing much less now. Reviews of Portland places I like are at pdxJules on Yelp. I've bookmarked lots of places to explore. Maybe with you?
I enjoy sharing health study summaries, clean energy news.
Can advise clean energy projects, help leverage sustainable industries.
Advocate for EV conversions, public transit, bikes.
(I own an NEV, but still mostly use the Bus, MAX, walk, carpool & bike)
I respect your space, areas of expertise, and appreciate learning from you.
No need to be involved in all my interests, but it would be good to be supportive/respect what I do, which sometimes includes Democratic Campaigns, or Beer GEEK events.
A lively ENTJ visionary, quick on strategy. Worked in need areas that confound others...homelessness, Felonies, community development, clean power policy. I bring an energetic presence, resources and catalyst leadership to public-interest projects. My aim in recent years has been to empower Inventors/Engineers - to accelerate a more sustainable future for healthy, happy communities. Real Estate investment has supported my independence in choice of projects. Am considering my next now...and am open to co-investors. I own a peaceful Craftsman house on a triple-lot. Lots of trees for wood, and a great fireplace. The Portland Brewing Company Piano is here, and dinner parties are memorable!
In past years I worked many Candidate and issue campaigns, and with the Media to help the homeless, including national organizing. If you make shallow jokes about Liberals, bash public servants, or never consider Volunteering to help others, please just Sail On - and kindly - work on your character.
I prefer brilliant, FUNNY & liberal people. Excellent if you are socially concerned and have global interests. If you are still reading, you probably cultivate, enjoy and offer the benefits of a beautiful mind. Stamina, quick humor, and a bent towards creating a good time - is a very good thing. I'll be right by your side in it!
Helpful if you are amused by my eccentricities.
Not that I have any.
Seasoned democratic activists have NO interest in dating Bush voters OR smug Greens, who are often wildly ignorant about process, and lean more to blaming than solutions. I am always ready to help most anyone help develop community solutions, like a strategy for biofuels, sustainable product manufacturing, a corporate giving program, sustainability transition plan, even a rapid exit strategy to allow you to retire. (HINT!)
I get along great with most men, and respect people who stay loyal to women friends. Let's not separate interests by gender. If you like it, we probably do too. I like it when men bake Bread, cook, garden, ect.
If your interest list only has NASCAR or sports activities, that isn't enough to guess your style, likes, thoughts, opinions, or personality. One's world-view and sports might intersect, but they are no substitute for multi-dimensional character. Please add photos to show your current appearance, with smile, eyes, misc evidence about YOU. Remember to Update Profiles if circumstances change. I will too. It's OK to take time-outs from meeting people...I've done that a whole year now.
Where did you travel last year? My list is a bit long...we might need a tall beer to get thru it, LOL.
Let's be Thankful for possibility of friendship - and have fun! The foot I broke in St Martin last fall, is healing pretty well, doing some dancing - and glad to be walking on both feet again! Fast Swing/Jitterbugs still might be a bit much for me now tho, Sorry.
Caveats: Cat-owners, smokers, Bush-voters, kindly sail on. Perfume is icky! If you want kids, or if not free for global travel in coming years, please move on...unless being an occasional local pal is really enuf. ThankyuhVerymuch.
A relaxed spot, for Coffee, tea, an appetizer, beer or dinner. I don't care, as long as we can be real, explore common interests and personality, and hopefully enjoy a bit of light-hearted laughter.
Things I Like: Gardens, Galleries, Community-events, Pub Theaters. I can suggest casual Music, Parades, Fests, Pint nites, Cruise options, anytime. Feel free to ask. See a Play, or Galleries? If we are certain we share interests, and conversation flows, maybe dinner? Later, stay in to cook, invite friends for wine and civilized sit-down dinners, plan a trip? Please be sure interests match, including future travel - before you write. Thanks.
Hi there, maybe you came here because POF told you I wanted to meet.
Um...that was a bit premature! Yikers, I didn't know POF would contact anyone on my _behalf_ w/o my permission. Nothing personal, but I just looked at that _Let's Meet_ feature for the first time tonight, and ONLY hit the NO/Maybe buttons. I specifically avoided the Yes category for privacy.
My aim was to sort out the HECK NO's - so I'd have less people peering at me...and now it looks like I'm gonna have-ta explain POF's hasty action to a few people. Sorry to give the wrong impression, but I still may not have taken that close a look, or may not know enough about you at this time...sorry if POF gave the the wrong impression. Also I have been out of the country and have not looked at the mailbox here for 2 months. (Messages axpire at 30 days I think)
Hope you are having fun!
(Hair now quite long...will see if i can upload a current pic)
