[For the age-curious wondering if I'm closer to 44 or 45, I'm a newly minted 44-year-old as of this month (Aug 2014).]
Let's see. Well, I used to be a mime...but I don't talk about it much. (Groan.) I consider myself to be easygoing, open-minded, and very independent. I'm looking for a relationship ultimately, but I'm also looking for new friends (seriously), so feel free to drop me a line either way. If we think there's something there beyond friendship, let's see what we can make of it while treating each other right. You won't get any head games from me. And in case you care, I am gainfully employed so won't be hitting you up for money to cover rent. Just car payments. (That IS a joke!)
I check out bands (jazz to rock and more) at various venues, but don't do "the bar scene," as it were. So no shameless pick-up lines from me. You're disappointed, I know. I aspire to travel more -- got any suggestions? Locally, I'm always up for a hike or an interesting show or museum exhibit, and am a big fan of Largo and the New Beverly. I eat organic food whenever feasible, and apparently, I like making a lot of parenthetical remarks (see, I told you).
Sergio Leone's Spaghetti Westerns, Amelie and pretty much anything by Jeunet, High Anxiety, This is Spinal Tap, Donnie Darko, and Black Adder are just a few of the flicks and older shows I like. I have various musical interests, such as The Beatles, The Pixies, Muse, Jason Falkner, Oscar Peterson, Juliana Hatfield, Stevie Wonder, and lots more.
YOU: I'd love to meet someone who is some combination of smart, considerate, real, true to herself and others, curious, active, sweet, animal-friendly, witty and romantic. You have a positive outlook, are easygoing, have perspective, and know that communication is essential to a relationship. And you'd rather be on your own than with someone for the heck of it. I also like creativity and original thinking.
Thanks for reading my profile, and best of luck to everyone. Hope you find what you're looking for.
[p.s. Some don't quite catch that the mime thing was just a subtle joke. Not necessarily a *funny* one, but a joke, nonetheless. Sorry to dash any hopes of you mime fans in the crowd.]
[Note: Hi, everyone. I object in principle to POF requiring a lot of personal information, such as our longest relationship. So, the answer I've listed isn't real, I just chose "over 4 years long" because it's near the middle of the list. I'm *not* trying to deceive anyone (if I were, then I wouldn't have added this note).]
