About Me
I used to have a really long profile on here, it was very descriptive, but probably took at least half an hour to read. I eventually got sick of it and deleted it in favour of a much more spartan version. Frankly I find writing these things difficult, I'm never sure how to describe myself, or what to write, or how much to write lol
Many people on here talk about how great or amazing they are, but I'm far too modest for that, so I'll just say I'm a relatively average guy.
I'm no Brad Pitt or (insert your favourite hunk here), but I'm not too hard on the eyes, and some girls actually think I'm hot, but frankly I don't see it rofl
I'm pretty smart and like to learn lots of new things.
I've got a good heart and try to be kind and considerate to people. Many girls like a "bad boy", whatever that is. When I was a teenager I did bad things, lied stole vandalized got in stupid fights, does that count? Or does "bad boy" mean a guy that cheats on his girl, goes to bars and picks fights and assaults people for no reason? Either way, I don't think I'm a bad boy, at least not at this stage of my life, I'm a good guy. I'm friendly and polite with people, always help out a stranger in need, prefer a discussion over an arguement.
I'm very honest, and have no problem taking responsibility for my actions when I happen to screw up. My boss often says that I'm TOO honest lol but I think it's important to be up front and on the level with people. I guess maybe it's a backlash from when I was a naughty youngster who used to lie and steal, now I loathe thieves and liars lol
I'm pretty left leaning politically and socially, and am very open minded and accepting of people and their uniqueness. Everybody is different, but I think we all have something to offer to the world and those around us.
I have a great sense of humour and like to joke around quite a bit. I hate being too serious, but I know how to be when it's important.
I have a huge range of interests, many of which I've listed. Particularly I love almost all western music (not really familiar with non-western styles), except for some types of country, most punk, and most jazz (my brain can't seem to process most jazz lol), and most cheesy pop. Pretty much anything else that's come out since 1905 is ok with me :)
I love all animals, especially cats, my family calls me The Cat Whisperer rofl It took me a long time to start liking dogs because a big dog bit me when I was real little and really scared me off of them for a long time, but over the years I've gotten over that and made some close friendships with some dogs, so I'm liking them more and more too. I think pugs are absolutely adorable lol I don't currently have any pets though, I'm still mourning over the loss of my last kitty :(
I've never had lots of money, or been able to travel the world, but in spite of that I like to think I'm fairly cultured and have an appreciation for the finer things in life as well as the simple pleasures.
Currently I work at and help manage a not-for-profit bicycle shop. It's hard work and stressful and doesn't pay much, but we get to help out a lot of people, and we have an environmental mandate, so there's a feeling like we're doing something positive. However I do plan on going back to school so I can get a degree and make some real money one day. Like most people I'd like to be able to own a house and a car and travel etc etc.
I could go on and on, but I'd better leave something for conversation lol
By the way, just to be upfront: I smoke weed, but that's pretty much it for "drugs".

First Date
First dates depend entirely on who's involved. Some people like a fancy dinner, and sometimes a fancy dinner is the last thing they want. Personally, whatever she's into is fine with me. I'm a VERY laid back kinda guy. As long as she's happy, I'm happy. Be it dinner, or a movie, walk in the rain, coffee, dancing, it doesn't matter. If the company's right, I could be in a war zone and be happy. Doing just about anything, just about anywhere, is a time to remember when I'm with the right someone.
