About Me
Hello, and thank you for taking the time to review my profile. I have moved to Victoria a year ago, but grew-up in Nanaimo. I have lived in a few places in Canada including Halifax, Edmonton, Calgary, Vernon, Kelowna, and Richmond. When I was living in Nanaimo I had told myself that one day I would live in Victoria, and that one day is now.
For a person that loves outdoor recreation and cultural, without the big city component, Victoria has it all. I have a degree in Tourism Management and a certificate in Event Management, and now am applying to Royal Roads for a Masters of Intercultural & International Communications.
As an entrepreneur I have two major projects I'm currently developing, one is a humanitarian organization to support rural farmers in Los Santos, Costa Rica, with the branding and marketing of a 50km eco-trail. The second project is a start-up company that will focus on packaging unique luxury vacations/adventures for people who want to experience vacations that have never been offered before. All clients will have to do is pack their bags, and after that, this company will take care of all their vacation and transportation needs.
Some other basics about me are I love exploring and trying new things, enjoy being spontaneous, I'm laid-back, have a good sense of humour, love being outside and active, and always like meeting new people, as I find every person I meet grows me in some way!
I'm a bit of a free-spirit and I love experiencing people, sharing good laughs, and having fun. I am not necessarily a person that is looking for one specific person to share the rest of my life with (but you never know), I grow from every person I meet, and I want to meet many different people, so I myself can grow both spiritually and intellectually. I am a lot of fun and enjoy living life in the moment (The Power of Now and A New Earth) and to its fullest. I respect people, their choices (as long as their choices aren't harming others), and feel we all need to live our own lives and create our own happiness, and not depend on others to make our happiness for us. With that said though I do believe that happiness is shared (Into the Wild).
I am a pretty open book and enjoy sharing my life stories with others, but primarily I'm a listener, and only share when it fits with what the other person is sharing with me. As my profile says, I'm looking for friends, and my "Intent", is also looking for friends, but that option isn't available in the drop-down menu. I'm a happy little fish in my fish bowl (Pisces), so as long as people leave me in my bowl, and don't try and change my bowl's environment or put me in another bowl, am up for anything!
I believe if we can be honest about our needs and desires, people should respect them and allow us to be who we are, and not be expected us to change to make others happy, but to be ourselves, and for others to be happy for that simply fact, that we are being true to our-self.
